Who We Are
San Jose native Mario Glaviano started his filmmaking journey in film school at San Diego State University. After honing his skills in documentary filmmaking, he moved back to the Bay Area and formed Mario and Fran Productions in 2013.
In 2020, Mario expanded the team and rebranded the company to Frame Story Studios with the goal of creating a different kind of wedding video company: one for couples looking for unique, story-forward wedding films with tons of personality and authenticity.
Mario and his team are San Francisco Bay Area wedding videographers and are available for travel throughout California and worldwide. Currently booking weddings of all sizes for 2021 and 2022 including multi-day South Asian weddings, elopements, and small-scale Covid-19 weddings.

Bay Area native Mario Glaviano founded Frame Story Studios in 2013 with the goal of creating a boutique wedding video company that focused on unique storytelling with close attention to detail and outstanding customer experiences. Mario has been making documentary films since he was a teenager. He graduated from San Diego State University film school in 2010 and spent the next 10 years honing his filmmaking skills by filming and editing documentaries, corporate videos, and hundreds of weddings throughout the bay area. Above all else, Mario is a storyteller.

Terry Lawson is a creative visionary through and through. He began filming weddings in 2012, working on a wide variety of events spanning from intimate Yosemite elopements to epic 5-day Indian weddings. When he is not expressing himself by creating visuals, you can find him listening to classic rock, playing his guitar, and camping in the wilderness with his Blue Heeler Nola.

Alicia
Alicia Rice is an accomplished documentary filmmaker and the lead editor of Frame Story Studios. She developed a passion for telling human stories while getting her B.A. in Video Production at Santa Clara University and M.F.A. in Social Documentation at UC Santa Cruz. When not creating handcrafted wedding films, she likes producing documentaries for PBS, hanging out with her partner, and playing with their pitbull mix Pixie.

Candid, unique storytelling with lots of personalities! We take a fly-on-the-wall approach to capture the most authentic moments in the least intrusive way possible.
We have filmed hundreds of weddings since we started in 2013. Now we limit our bookings to 18 weddings per year to ensure a handcrafted, high-quality product for each one of our couples.
Mario is the lead cinematographer for all weddings. He will be there along with one of our skilled second videographers.
Roughly 4-6 months, depending on the time of year. We put a lot of time and attention to detail into each wedding film.
We love to travel outside of the Bay Area! For destination weddings, we only ask that you cover our flights, accommodations, and a small per-diem. Then we are good to go!
