Olympia’s Valley Estate — a charming and elegant family-owned estate in the Sonoma wine country, to serve as the backdrop to the marriage of the young, beautiful, and very much in love Briana and Keith.
Everywhere we looked, it was impossible to see Briana and Keith without a smile on their faces. The two radiated happiness, not only to be sharing the biggest moments of their lives together, but to be with so many of the friends and family that have supported them.
Fran and I especially enjoyed Briana and Keith’s first look out in front of the old farm house, which was romantic and touching, almost like a reuniting of lovers in an old Western. It was one of those perfect moments. We knew right away that it was something we wanted to emphasize in their wedding film.
As the day went on — the perfect ceremony overlooking the lake, the Mescal margaritas at cocktail hour, and the epic grand entrances (in which one overzealous groomsmen shredded his pants!) — things couldn’t have been more classic. Until Keith’s father, in his deliberate and dramatic style, delivered an Irish sentiment that had no doubt been delivered at his wedding, and probably to his parents at theirs: “May god be with you always, and may you be blessed. May you see your children’s children. May you be poor in misfortune and rich in blessings. And may you grow in wisdom and gratitude.” Cheers to that!
